We're excited to officially begin offering Adventure K9 Services — a guided outdoor training program designed for dogs and owners who want to go beyond basic obedience and prepare for real-world adventures.

More Than the Backyard

Your dog deserves more than the backyard. More than the neighborhood walk. More than obedience in a training building. These experiences may include:

Whether your goal is hiking local trails, tackling New Hampshire's 4,000-footers, backpacking, camping, or simply having a dog you can confidently bring on outdoor adventures, these sessions are built to prepare both ends of the leash.

Every adventure is tailored to the dog's experience, physical condition, and training level.

Safety, teamwork, and responsible decision-making always come before the summit.

ADVENTURE READINESS EVALUATION

Owner Presence: Owner Present

Duration: 60–75 min

Price: $100

A one-on-one evaluation of obedience, recall, neutrality, confidence, physical conditioning, and handler communication. Required before hiking, kayaking, sport, or overnight programs, and used to recommend the right progression for your dog.

Adventure Walks

  • Urban Adventure Walk

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 45–60 min

    Price: $85 owner present / $65 dog only

    A structured city adventure: navigating crowds, traffic, storefronts, patios, and public spaces with calm, confident behavior. Ideal preparation for travel and dog-friendly outings.

  • Trail Adventure Walk

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 60–90 min

    Price: $90 owner present / $70 dog only

    A guided trail outing focused on loose leash walking, engagement, neutrality, confidence on uneven terrain, and real-world obedience in natural environments.

Adventure Hikes

  • Beginner Adventure Hike

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 2 hrs

    Price: $75 owner present / $60 dog only

    An entry-level guided hike on easy terrain teaching trail etiquette, obstacle confidence, pacing, and engagement — designed for newer adventure dogs and owners.

  • Intermediate Adventure Hike

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 3–4 hrs

    Price: $120 owner present / $95 dog only

    A moderate hike with more elevation, distraction, and duration, building endurance, communication, and reliable trail skills.

  • Advanced Adventure Hike

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 5–7 hrs

    Price: $185 owner present / $150 dog only

    A longer, more physically demanding hike for experienced teams preparing for serious outdoor objectives.

White Mountain Program

  • White Mountain Preparation Session

    Owner Presence: Owner Present

    Duration: 90 min

    Price: $130

    Conducted locally in Rhode Island or nearby MA/CT on hills, rocky terrain, stairs, and bridges. Covers conditioning, gear selection, paw protection, weather planning, recalls, endurance progression, emergency planning, and trail decision-making — everything a team needs before committing to a White Mountain outing.

  • White Mountain Guided Adventure

    Owner Presence: Owner Present

    Duration: 6–10 hrs (full day)

    Price: $325–425 per team

    A guided day hike in the New Hampshire White Mountains for qualified teams. Routes are matched to experience and may include Mount Willard, Mount Pierce, moderate 4,000-footers, or more advanced objectives. Emphasis on safe travel, communication, pacing, obstacle negotiation, alpine awareness, and sound decision-making. Transportation to the trailhead is the client’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged.

    Prerequisite: Adventure Readiness Evaluation plus at least one Intermediate Adventure Hike or White Mountain Preparation Session.

Kayaking

  • Kayak introduction

    Owner Presence: Owner Present

    Duration: 90 min

    Price: $140 with your kayak / $185 kayak rental included

    A first-time introduction covering loading, unloading, balance, calm positioning, water confidence, and safety around the launch. Perfect for dogs who have never been on the water.

  • Adventure Kayaking

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 2.5–4 hrs

    Price: $175–250 with your kayak / $235–315 kayak rental included

    Longer guided paddles for dogs already comfortable kayaking. Reinforces calm behavior on the water, shore breaks, loading and unloading, public etiquette, wildlife neutrality, and water safety. Routes selected based on weather, water conditions, and the dog’s experience.

  • Extended Adventure Kayaking

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 5–7 hrs (full day)

    Price: $300–450 with your kayak / $380–535 kayak rental included

    A full-day guided paddling adventure for experienced kayaking teams: longer distances, multiple landings, and extended time on the water while maintaining safety and enjoyment.

Dog Sports

  • Bikejoring Foundations

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 90 min

    Price: $160 owner present / $130 dog only

    Introduction to proper equipment, safety, pulling mechanics, directional cues, impulse control, and progressive conditioning. Suitable only for physically appropriate dogs after evaluation.

  • Canicross Foundations

    Owner Presence: Owner Present or Dog Only

    Duration: 75 min

    Price: $110 owner present / $90 dog only

    Trail-running foundations: safe running mechanics, harness and line selection, commands, pacing, and conditioning for running with your dog.

Overnight & Travel Readiness

    Prepare your dog for overnight camping: calm tethering, campsite manners, tent behavior, wildlife awareness, settling during downtime, food management, and nighttime routines.

  • Backpacking Preparation

    Price: $125

    Build the obedience, conditioning, and outdoor skills needed for overnight backpacking, including pack introduction (when appropriate), endurance progression, and trail safety planning.

  • Dog-Friendly Travel Preparation

    Owner Presence: Owner Present

    Duration: 75 min

    Price: $100

    Prepare for hotels, elevators, restaurants, public transportation, airport-style environments, and travel routines to make trips smoother and less stressful.

Adventure club membership

  • The membership converts one-time training clients into recurring revenue and community. It sits at step 6 of the client journey — after foundational training, as the ongoing home for adventure-ready dogs.

RESPONSIBILITIES note

For clarity, service delivery responsibilities are as follows:

  • Owner may provide every service offered by 7SummitsK9.

  • Independent Contractor may provide: Basic Obedience, Intermediate/Advanced Obedience, Intro to E-Collar Training, Day Training, Urban Training Walks, Trail Training Walks, In-Home Dog Sitting, Follow-up Training Sessions, Homework Reinforcement.

  • Owner-led only services include: advanced behavior cases, service dog training, Search & Rescue Foundations, advanced off-leash e-collar, Adventure K9 services, workshops, and higher-liability specialty activities.
